Frequently Asked Questions
 How well do the Moni charms hold up? Moni charms are painted directly onto stainless steel links (or in the case of pendants, onto a sterling silver pendant). The paint is then baked on, and a durable, commercial-grade resin is then applied. They are very durable. It is advised to remove any jewelry when working with chemicals or showering. Moni Charms have a 60 day warranty for normal wear and tear.
How well do the jewelry designs hold up? Like the charms, the first layer of paint is baked directly onto the sterling silver jewelry item. The desing is then painted, and a durable, commercial-grade resin is then applied. Multiple layers are applied, creating a 3D effect. They are very durable. It is advised to remove any jewelry when working with chemicals or showering. Think of your Moni Jewelry as you would pearls and treat them with the same care.
What about scratching? The resin is very durable, but if you do get scratches you can actually warm the piece of jewelry with a blow dryer (and sometimes even in your hand) and the scratches will work their way out!
What about yellowing? In some sunnier climates, there were a few problems reported with slight yellowing on some of the lighter background pieces. However, in late 2006, we switched to a product in the same line, but with higher UV protection added. Keep hand lotions from getting onto the resin as the chemicals over time can also cause yellowing and in some rare instances, degradation of the resin. Again, think of the pieces as pearls and treat them accordingly.
Do the Moni charms fit on other Italian charm bracelets? Definitely. All Moni links are interchangeable with other bracelets.

How are your eyes? Or - Do you use a magnifying glass? This one always makes me laugh! Actually, my eyes are just fine (updating this website causes more eyestrain!) I do wear corrective lenses, but have since I was 12. Same prescription now as when I started painting the charms. And I do not use a magnifying glass. I do wear my glasses as opposed to contacts, though, when painting. I tried a magnifying glass in the beginning. Completely threw off my depth perception!
